I am truly thankful for my little fur-babies. They make me laugh all of the time and they are great to cuddle with. They are loyal and always happy to see me.
Lately I have been finding myself needing a bit of inspiration. I feel that I need to focus on myself and my relationships a bit more, so I started reading The Five Love Languages by Gary Chapman.
This week Barrett and I have really honed in on our fitness and nutrition. The holidays have really gotten us off track but we are ready to conquer! We started our superfood shakes again and have begun P90X3.
This weekend I have been binging on Greys Anatomy and I am totally not ashamed of it. It’s only the second time I’ve ever binge watched it!
Down here in sunny old Florida we are finally getting some cool air and I am greatful for that because it was getting way too muggy. I have had my windows open all weekend and I am loving it! My animals love it too. How do I know? Every time I turn around their heads are smashed against the screen sniffing the air.
Have a wonderful week everyone!
I feel that we often forget to be thankful for the small things that we are blessed to have in our life. We run out of gas, we get the wrong milk, our bananas go bad before we get to them, and so on. The little frustrations in life often get in the way of our being thankful for the small and large blessings in our life. In lieu of the new year, I want to remember to be thankful each and every day. I am starting a series called 365 Days of Being Thankful. Every day this year, starting January 1, I will post something I am thankful for, whether it big or whether it small. Follow along and even join with the hashtag #365daysofbeingthankful.
1. To be thankful every day for what I have. I am hoping to start a series called 365 days of being thankful. (Starting January 1-Keep an eye out!)
2. To spend more time with my family.
3. To excel in my Scentsy business.
4. To finally write a book.
5. To graduate college with my Bachelors in Education.
6. To get my first teaching job.
7. To exercise at least 3 days a week.
8. To read at least 12 books (One a month)
9. To encourage others as much as possible.
10. To go to church more.
What are some of your new years goals?
Remember: New Years goals or resolutions are not to create a new you; they are to help you grow as the person you are.

I hope you all had a very Merry Christmas! I know I most definitely did. I had a lot of good food and spent a lot of time with my wonderful family and Barrett’s wonderful family!
We ate at a wonderful restaurant with Barrett’s family for Christmas lunch. It was all you can eat of any food you can possibly imagine and all you can drink champagne and mimosa’s. The best part was, no clean up after! We are truly thankful to be a part of such a giving family.
After a wonderful Christmas lunch we ventured back closer to home to have a delicious homemade meal at my parents. Mashed potatoes, green bean casserole, turkey, ham, and all the rest of your traditional Christmas dinner food. We had a lot of laughs and a lot of fun. My parents recently adopted a new little puppy, Rossie. He and Spencer played so great together and have become best buds, so watching them play was our entertainment for the night.
Christmas is one of my favorite holidays. I absolutely love it but I am also ready for it to be over. It is definitely exhausting. I am excited to get my little home back in order and organize for the new year. I am also going to be starting a “Project Downsize.” I am going to go through all of my things and donate what I do not need! We have way too many things for this itty bitty apartment. Follow along both on here and on Instagram!
What did you do for Christmas? I’d love to hear!
P.S. Don’t mind the quality of the pictures. I completely forgot my nice camera at home!
Merry Christmas Eve Eve from Sophie!
These last few days leading up to Christmas are always so magical and stressful at the same time. Magical because these are the days that you really feel that Christmas is near, but stressful because of all the last minute shopping, wrapping, baking and cooking.
Last night my mom and I totally went shopping for one thing for my dad and came out with five more things for Barrett, three things for my dad and three things for my aunt. The danger of Christmas sales my friends. We had so much fun though, which is what counts.
Today will consist of baking and shopping. I will be making my Devil’s Food Cake Cookie’s and The Chic Sites Easy Holiday Bark. I am looking forward to enjoying all of these yummy treats! I had all of my shopping done until I lost three gifts. Yes lost them. How? I don’t really know. They were gifts for my boyfriend’s mom, sister, and grandma. So today’s mission is to find new gifts for them!
I hope that your Christmas Eve Eve is magical. Enjoy these last few days of the Christmas season and make sure to enjoy the last bit of those Christmas movies…I know I will.
